What do these Galyn terms mean?

Voice Relay
The spoken translation feature that records audio you choose to capture and converts it into translated text or output.
Text Relay
The written translation feature used for pasted or typed text.
Route Guide
The guide surface that responds to travel questions with prompt, image, and place context.
Travel Cards
The postcard-style image feature that turns a selected or captured image into a saved keepsake.
Shared Stops
The posting and following area where users publish updates, attach place tags, and interact with other travelers.
Galyn Profile
Your profile space for identity details, follow state, saved posts, and related account controls.
Galyn Credits
Consumable in-app credits used for eligible actions inside Galyn.

When do these terms apply?

These terms apply when you open Galyn, create or use an account, recharge credits, publish to Shared Stops, or use any feature inside the service. If you do not agree, do not use Galyn.

How may you use Galyn?

You may use Galyn for lawful personal travel-related purposes only. You are responsible for the prompts, text, audio, images, place tags, and posts you send through the service, and you must respect the rights, privacy, and safety of other people.

What are your account responsibilities?

You are responsible for keeping your Galyn account details accurate and for controlling access to the device and credentials used with that account. Do not impersonate another person, present a false affiliation, or upload media you do not have permission to use.

How do Shared Stops, Travel Cards, and profile content work?

You keep ownership of the text, images, cards, and posts you create or upload. You grant Galyn a limited license to host, display, reproduce, format, moderate, and back up that content so the service can operate.

You must have the rights needed to post any photo, caption, place tag, or comment you submit. Do not post unlawful, deceptive, abusive, hateful, sexually exploitative, or rights-infringing content.

Galyn may remove or limit content that appears unsafe, unlawful, or inconsistent with these terms, and repeated violations may result in suspension or account removal.

If content in Shared Stops violates your rights or safety expectations, report it through support so it can be reviewed.

What should you expect from Voice Relay and Text Relay?

Voice Relay and Text Relay use machine-assisted processing. Translation output can be incomplete, delayed, or wrong because of slang, background noise, unusual names, or ambiguous wording.

Do not rely on Galyn translation for medical, legal, emergency, aviation, or other safety-critical decisions. You are responsible for confirming important information with a qualified source.

How should you use Route Guide?

Route Guide is informational only. It can organize travel ideas and respond to prompt or image context, but it does not guarantee accuracy, legality, availability, or suitability for any destination.

Route Guide is not professional travel, legal, immigration, medical, or safety advice. You remain responsible for checking bookings, local rules, opening hours, and on-the-ground conditions.

How do Galyn Credits and in-app purchases work?

Galyn Credits are consumable digital credits licensed for use inside Galyn. They are non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and are non-refundable except where required by applicable law.

Apple handles App Store refund requests through reportaproblem.apple.com. A credit balance updates after the relevant purchase is confirmed through the app store purchase flow.

If a purchase succeeds but your balance does not update, contact support with the product code, device details, and receipt context so the issue can be reviewed.

Purchased or granted Galyn Credits expire 12 months after issue unless local consumer protection law requires a different outcome.

What conduct is not allowed in Galyn?

  • Impersonating another traveler, business, or public authority
  • Uploading media or place tags that you do not have permission to use
  • Using Galyn to harass, threaten, exploit, or defraud another person
  • Relying on translation or guide output for emergency or safety-critical use
  • Attempting to scrape, reverse engineer, exploit, or bypass credit or access controls
  • Deploying malware or automating abusive activity against the service

Who owns the app and service materials?

The Galyn app, interface, trademarks, software, and non-user service materials are owned by the service operator or its licensors. Except where law requires otherwise, you may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or build derivative services from them without permission.

How are warranties and liability limited?

Galyn is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and uninterrupted availability.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims arising out of or relating to Galyn is limited to the greater of USD $9.99 or 12-month payments. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, lost travel opportunities, or user-content disputes.

How may the service change?

Galyn may change, suspend, or discontinue features, guide outputs, translation providers, purchase tiers, or geographic availability at any time. Interruptions can happen because of maintenance, provider outages, moderation review, or platform limitations.

How will term changes be announced?

Material changes to these terms may be announced through an in-app notification 14 days before they take effect, unless a shorter notice period is needed to address security, abuse, or legal obligations.

Which law governs these terms?

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the service operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer protection rights that apply where you live remain available to you.
