If you recharge Galyn Credits, Galyn receives purchase status, product ID, transaction identifiers, and the amount of credits to apply. Payment card details are handled by the app store and payment processors rather than stored directly by Galyn.

The legal basis for purchase processing is contract fulfillment and compliance with accounting or fraud-prevention obligations. Purchase records are retained for 7 years.

What analytics and tracking signals does Galyn collect?

Galyn uses tracking-related identifiers, usage events, and performance signals to understand feature quality, measure campaign performance, and investigate failures. Crash and diagnostic records are retained for 90 days unless a shorter or longer window is required for an active incident review.

Galyn asks for camera access only when you choose to capture an image for Travel Cards, profile media, or a Shared Stops post. Galyn asks for photo library access when you pick an existing image or save a finished card back to your device.

The legal basis for this processing is your consent and contract fulfillment for the image action you triggered. Uploaded images remain until you delete them, and backup copies are removed within 30 days after deletion.

What post, profile, and location details does Galyn store?

Shared Stops and profile features can process display names, avatars, captions, selected images, comments, follower relationships, and place tags that you attach to a post. Location details are used only when you search for a place, confirm a tag, or keep a saved stop connected to a post or card.

The legal basis for this community and profile data is contract fulfillment and our legitimate interest in operating moderation, reporting, and account safety tools. Account and profile data remain until account deletion, then for up to 30 days while deletion and backup removal finish.

What translation and guide inputs does Galyn receive?

Text Relay processes the text you paste or enter for translation. Route Guide can process your typed prompts, optional images, and place context so it can respond to travel questions inside the app. Guide prompts and related request logs are retained for up to 30 days for abuse review and service troubleshooting.
